Communitech has announced three new speakers that will be headlining the True North conference taking place between May 29 and 31.

The speakers include Bozoma Saint John, the chief brand officer at Uber; Spike Jonze, an Oscar award-winning producer and director of Her; and Charlie Brooker, the creator and writer of Black Mirror.

Saint John will take the stage on the final day of the conference to speak about her personal experiences with diversity and inclusion, as well as her role at Uber. Jonze and Brooker will headline “Stranger than Fiction,” a panel that will focus on the intersection of technology, fiction, and entertainment.

True North’s goal is to examine the positive and negative impacts of technology by exploring concepts like AI, diversity, and fake news.

Other confirmed speakers include Siyabuela Xuza, founder and managing director of Galactic Energy Ventures; Talia Sanhewe, managing director of Talia Productions; and Craig Silverman, media editor of BuzzFeed News.
