Dialogue has found a new general manager for Ontario in Steve Schlesak, who has spent the past three years with Uber Canada as a senior manager, where he oversaw national marketplace and core experience operations.

As general manager, Schlesak will build Dialogue’s team in Ontario by hiring a team handling operations, sales, marketing, technology, and customer engagement. He will also be accountable for growth in Ontario, including rapidly scaling Dialogue’s team of physicians, nurses, and care coordinators.

“We are thrilled to have Steve join the Dialogue team in this key role. His background and knowledge of the Ontario market will be invaluable as we continue our expansion in the rest of Canada,” said Cherif Habib, CEO of Dialogue.

“I am ecstatic and honoured to have the opportunity to join Dialogue with the mandate to scale and grow our rest-of-Canada operations,” said Schlesak. “It’s compelling to envision a world with frictionless access to healthcare both before you need it and when you truly need it. Dialogue is building towards that vision everyday and I look forward to making a contribution to that.”

Dialogue launched in Montreal in 2016 as a way to offer telemedecine services in Canada. The startups has since piloted its platform with Great-WestLife and partnered with League, and recently raised a $12 million Series A to fuel its growth across Canada.
