Thales is known for its contributions to the defense and security sectors, particularly within Thales Canada Defense & Security (TCDS). This division is in search of a project planner to prepare, monitor, and maintain detailed project schedules.
Core duties for the role include the formulation, oversight, and updating of project schedules. By maintaining accurate and up-to-date schedules, the project planner role is aimed at facilitating the smooth progression of projects, ensuring targets are met, and helping to mitigate any potential risks or delays.
Applicants are expected to have a minimum of five years of experience in project scheduling. A background in business, finance or accounting, project management, or engineering is preferred, and proficiency in Primavera or an equivalent scheduling software is required, along with familiarity with other tools such as MS Project. This is a hybrid role, based in Ottawa.

Allen Vanguard develops counter-threat solutions to neutralize terrorist and extremist threats, including equipment for defeating improvised explosive devices.
The company is currently seeking an embedded software developer for its engineering team. This role, based in a hybrid environment at its Ottawa office, involves participating in the full software development cycle, from requirements definition to support.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science, or a related college diploma, with three to eight years of experience in embedded software development. Proficiency in C/C++ is essential, and knowledge of Python is a bonus. Experience with microprocessor and microcontroller-based platforms is required, as is experience in Linux environments.
