VEC and Microsoft Canada want you to break something in Vancouver

Vancouver VEC break something

The Vancouver Economic Commission is partnering with Microsoft Canada to kickstart one Canadian’s tech career with a trip to Vancouver. The Win a Trip to Vancouver contest will send one lucky winner to YVR for two nights in May to attend a meet-and-greet hosted by VEC, receive private tours of Vancouver’s top tech and digital companies, and crash Tech Fest Vancouver with a VIP ticket. Travel and accommodations are, of course, included.

The VEC claims that over 3,500 high-paying tech and digital jobs will open up in Vancouver within the next six months, so now is the perfect time for young entrepreneurs to capitalize on the opportunity. To raise awareness, the VEC has produced an appropriately inspiring and dubsteppy video, which can be watched below.

To enter, those interested must visit the VEC’s contest Facebook page and share information on the companies for which they might like to work, their skills and what they would like to break or transform related to their current career.
