Traction Conference is back in-person on August 10 to 11, pulling in unicorns from across the globe to Vancouver.
The two-day event will feature more than forty sessions from a lineup of speakers that consist of executives from Atlassian, Shopify, Twitter, Zendesk, Twilio, 1Password, and Mailchimp, among others.
Presenters include the likes of Anique Drumright, vice president of product at Loom ($6.5 billion valuation); Anna Griffin, CMO at Intercom ($3 billion valuation), Doug Winter, CEO at Seismic ($3 billion valuation); as well as Stacey Epstein, CMO of Freshworks ($5 billion market cap).
According to Traction, the first day will include sessions on product and go-to-market; the second and last day will have sessions on scaling and “war stories” from founders and C-suite members of multi-billion companies.

The last time Traction held its event in-person was in 2019, the same year it introduced the Traction Fundraising Summit, which focuses on discussions and talks on fundraising, pitch coaching, legal negotiation tips, and office hours with investors.
Traction’s 2019 edition featured presentations from Lynsey Thornton, vice president of user experience at Shopify; Chris Wright, CTO at Red Hat; and Meghan Keaney Anderson, vice president of marketing at HubSpot.
Lloyed Lobo, co-founder and co-chair of Traction, told BetaKit that the number of attendees for the event is capped at 1,000, and that 70 percent of tickets are sold.
Apart from organizing events at Traction, Lobo is also the co-founder and a board member of Boast, an artificial intelligence startup that helps users gain access to R&D tax credits and funding.
