TekSavvy acquires Ottawa-based Openjive

TekSavvy, who is an independent telecom provider in Canada, has announced today the acquisition of Ottawa-based Openjive. While the terms of the deal were not disclosed, TekSavvy stated this will expand its offerings to small and medium enterprises.

Openjive, a Microsoft Partner, is an “up-and-coming software development firm” that integrates with Microsoft Lync, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Exchange, Office and Office365 platforms to simplify how business users communicate and collaborate.

“We are very excited about the Openjive acquisition.” said Pascal Tellier, TekSavvy’s Chief Information Officer. “It is another element that expands our ability to bring professional services, and our renowned customer support, to small and medium Canadian businesses.”

TekSavvy said that this acquisition will “add bench strength at TekSavvy’s Gatineau location and allow TekSavvy to begin offering software-as-a-service and professional systems integration services.”
