SAAS NORTH has revealed its lineup of over 50 speakers for its tech conference in Ottawa this year.
Presenters include executives from Canada’s most prominent SaaS startups, such as Shopify, Unbounce, Ada, Coveo, Hootsuite, Wattpad, 1Password, PointClickCare, and Calico. It is also made up of investors from firms like Georgian and Two Small Fish.
Namely, this year’s SAAS NORTH speakers include the likes of Natalia Williams, chief product officer at Hootsuite; Ryan Engley, senior vice president at Unbounce; Allen and Eva Lau, founding partners at Two Small Fish Ventures; as well as Jeff Shiner, CEO of 1Password.
BetaKit editor-in-chief Douglas Soltys and associate editor Meagan Simpson are also back at SAAS NORTH for 2022, along with the BetaKit Keynote Stage.
The event is set to be in-person for the second consecutive time after SAAS NORTH made the shift to a digital experience in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with SAAS NORTH, other tech conferences that have announced or made returns to in-person gatherings include Collision, Inventures, Startupfest, Traction, and Elevate.
Last year’s BetaKit Keynote Stage had Canadian tech unicorns Ada and GeoComply talk about lessons learned on their path to a billion-dollar valuation, as well as a session dedicated to Canada’s SaaS ‘soonicorns’ — tech companies on the path to unicorn status. Simpson also led the conversation about the FinTech-ification of Canadian SaaS companies with Hopper and Lightspeed.
Last year, SAAS NORTH also launched an award founded in the memory of tech investor Greg Smith.
This year’s two-day tech conference will run from November 16 to 17, featuring sessions and discussions about bootstrapping, SaaS market overview, recession preparation, and a conversation with Canadian centaurs, companies who have a valuation of more than $100 million.
In addition to networking opportunities, the workspaces tradeshow, and panel talks, SAAS NORTH will also be hosting the AWS Pitchfest.
