Raw Signal Group to host multi-day coaching program for ‘better bosses’

Raw Signal Group

Leadership training company Raw Signal Group is launching Betterboss, a three-day management training program for founders, executives, investors, and managers.

“We designed it to give bosses more of the skills they need to succeed, and also the time to reflect.”
– Johnathan Nightingale

The workshop will focus on developing strategies, setting clear goals and realistic targets, understanding how to motivate a team, and exploring the roles of coaching, mentoring, and feedback in leadership. Through this program, participants can work on tools to keep themselves accountable, explore techniques to help team members grow and take on new challenges, and reflect on their personal leadership style.

“We’ve worked with thousands of leaders in fast-growing organizations. And we keep hearing that work isn’t working for most people,” Melissa Nightingale, co-founder of Raw Signal Group, told BetaKit. “Individuals tell us it feels like their boss doesn’t have a plan. And bosses tell us no one has ever taught them how to do their job. They know they’re missing the core skills they need to be great, but they don’t know where or how to get them. This is what Betterboss is all about.”

Raw Signal Group was founded in 2017 by Nightingale and her husband Johnathan, who are collectively former employees of Mozilla, IBM, Hubba, and Wattpad. Betterboss represents a new format for Raw Signal Group, as its first ticketed boss program. Usually, the organization works one-on-one with individual companies, and while the new program offers group rates for companies looking to send up to 10 people together, this is the first multi-day, multi-company program the organization will host.

“Betterboss is a brand new format for us: new content and new program,” Johnathan Nightingale told BetaKit. “We designed it to give bosses more of the skills they need to succeed, and also the time to reflect.”

Some of the other programs that Raw Signal Group has organized include Four Fridays, One:Ones for individual mentoring, and Exec Sessions, which provides information that teams need as they approach periods of high growth.

The three-day program will take place between September 16, 17, and 18 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, at the Berkley Field House, located at 311 Queen Street East, Toronto. Individuals interested in registering for the event can sign up on Eventbrite.
