On November 15, MaRS is hosting its Verge Conference meant to challenge the way entrepreneurs think about their businesses.
The event includes networking events, hands-on workshops where entrepreneurs receive tailored advice for their specific needs, and keynotes. Kirstine Stewart, chief strategy officer at Diply, is attending as a featured speaker. Stewart is a former VP of media at Twitter Canada, and joined theScore as a member of their board of advisors.
Other speakers include MaRS Work & Learning head Krista Jones; D2L chief strategy officer Jeremy Auger; and Thomson Reuters Labs director Brian Zubert; recently, Thomson Reuters’ opened up a new facility in Toronto to encourage collaboration with startups.
The conference will take place over one day and include talks and workshops on creating a design thinking roadmap, leveraging Pixar’s model of creative storytelling for a business, and how to work with startups as an enterprise.
