On July 12, Montreal-based FounderFuel accelerator is bringing together founders and investors from Silicon Valley, Montreal, New York, and Toronto for its Spring 2016 Demo Day.
Six startups — spanning across verticals from indoor farming to online education — will pitch after working on their companies for 13 weeks through the accelerator. All of the companies leverage machine learning and big data for their companies.
FounderFuel invests $100,000 in every company in the program for the equivalent of a five percent equity stake, valuing each company in the program at $2 million. Past companies include Sharethebus, which raised a $750,000 seed round in August and recently joined Y Combinator, and Crew, which opened a new office space open to the community.
