Dentons, currently the world’s largest law firm, announced the launch of an online platform meant to help startups navigate the legal and strategic challenges of building a startup.

ventureBeyond is designed to be a resource for entrepreneurs at various stages of building their business, and covers topics like immigration basics for startups, the problems with joint ownership of IPs, and patent strategies. Dentons said that it leverages knowledge from its Venture Technology practices in hubs like New York, Shanghai, San Francisco, and Berlin. Dentons’ Venture Technology team includes more than 200 lawyers in offices worldwide.

“Today’s interconnected global marketplace is becoming increasingly complex to navigate, and we are delighted to offer this strategic resource to the global tech and life sciences community,” said Victor H. Boyajian, head of Dentons’ global Venture Technology practice.

The resources will be regularly updated based on feedback from Dentons’ lawyers and professionals. ventureBeyond will continue to focus on topics spanning the stage from ideation to IPO.

“Dentons’ ventureBeyond will provide founders and others in management with critical strategic and legal insights, and provide support throughout the early to middle stages of their lifecycles, while helping drive their businesses forward,” said Andrea Johnson, a senior partner based in Dentons’ Ottawa office. Johnson spearheaded the effort to create ventureBeyond.
