Computer vision engineer tops Indeed Canada list of hardest-to-fill tech jobs

According to a new Indeed Canada report, the tech talent gap remains a harsh reality as Canada’s tech sector scales and the demand for talent rapidly increases.

Although Indeed reports have previously shown that nine of the top 10 best jobs in Canada are in the tech sector, there are still struggles with filling tech-related positions, with some positions remaining open for more than 60 days.

“As the industry continues to grow and more startups enter the Canadian tech landscape, finding talent will continue to be a challenge,” said Jodi Kasten, managing director at Indeed Canada. “And we know that the longer a role is left open, the bigger the impact to the company’s bottom line. For tech employers, the importance of expanding their talent pool and finding the right balance of incentivizes to attract top talent is imperative.”
