To commemorate #Canada150, CB Insights and PwC launched a periodic table of Canadian tech that groups together 150 notable companies, investors, and exits from Canada’s tech startup scene.
The periodic table includes over 100 companies divided by industries such as edtech and ecommerce, along with the top 20 exits of Canadian tech companies since 2012 with disclosed valuations. Startups selected have raised at least $1 million in funding.
The table also includes the most active venture capital and corporate investors located in Canada that are investing globally in private tech companies, and names Real Ventures, OMERS Ventures, and Real Ventures among that list.
In the computing and AI category, companies include Montreal’s Element AI; Thalmic, which recently filed a patent describing hologram lenses; and D-Wave Systems, which recently partnered with Volkswagen to develop quantum technology.
