BetaKit Live: Solving Big Problems on July 29th

BetaKit Live July 2021

As has been discussed during past BetaKit Lives, the Canadian tech ecosystem is exploding, showcasing both big funding rounds and exits. This boom time has also come amidst rampant flooding, extreme temperatures, and wildfires that have taken too many Canadian lives.

To celebrate one while ignoring the other begs the question: what good is a fresh round of funding when the world is on fire?

No runway can extend beyond the reach of climate change. To survive, Canada (and the world) needs entrepreneurs willing to solve today’s big problems.

On Thursday, July 29th, at 4:00PM EDT, BetaKit will be joined by three Canadian tech leaders attacking those problems head-on to make the world a better place.

Hosted by BetaKit Editor-in-Chief Douglas Soltys, the panel conversation will feature Bryan Watson (Flow Ventures), Laura Zizzo (Manifest Climate), and Dan McCann (precision.ai). Audience participation is encouraged, so come prepared with questions!
