Chris Dulny named chief innovation officer of PwC Canada

Chris Dulny has been named chief innovation officer of PwC Canada as the firm announces a new leadership team.

The role has been established as PwC Canada works to embed itself in the Canadian tech ecosystem. Each year, PwC hosts the Vision to Reality Awards recognizing innovative companies and organizations of all sizes. It also recently established a hub in Toronto to co-create business solutions for clients.

In his role, Dulny will be leading the company’s internal innovation agenda.

“Our new leadership team reflects a diverse range of experiences, perspectives and innovative ideas, which are critical to the success of our clients and our growth ambitions for the future,” says Nicolas Marcoux, PwC Canada’s incoming CEO. “Each leader has a successful track record of building strong, collaborative teams and leveraging their market expertise and relationships to deliver value for our clients and communities. As a new leadership team, we are focused on, and committed to, working together to bring the best of PwC to our clients to help solve their most important problems.”

The full list of the new leadership team includes:

  • Kristian Knibutat, chief operating officer: Knibutat will provide strategic oversight of the firm’s national operations, including IT, risk, Independence Office, Office of General Counsel, and strategic mergers and acquisitions.
  • Lana Paton, national managing partner of business units: Paton will oversee the company’s assurance, tax, consulting, and deals business units, working closely with the leads of each unit.
  • Alaina Tennison, chief financial officer: Tennison will provide strategic oversight of the firm’s financial matters and business planning activities.
  • Matthew Wetmore, national managing partner of industries and regions: Wetmore will oversee PwC’s industries, market segments, and regional offices, and work with industry and regional leaders to drive growth and strategic investments in innovative services to address evolving market trends and needs.
