Startup accelerator program Propel ICT, in partnership with Alongside and GrowthHackers.com, is hosting its first edition of Amplify. The one-day event will invite startups, marketers, and entrepreneurs from Atlantic Canada and elsewhere to Halifax to learn from global growth marketing experts.

“Atlantic Canada has a plethora of smart, innovative and growing companies.”
– Yves Boudreau, Alongside

Held on March 28 at Pier 21, the event will offer attendees hands-on workshops to “amplify” their approach and mindset towards growing their companies. Startups and business owners will learn from growth experts about how to scale their companies quickly and efficiently, and gain insight on how to attract and activate more leads, how to build a growth team, and how to retain more customers.

“This conference will give people a glimpse of what we were exposed to when we were at 500 Startups in San Francisco. The mindset and approach to doing business breaks tradition and works incredibly well – and they do it unapologetically,” said Alongside founder Yves Boudreau, whose company was the first company from Atlantic Canada to be accepted into 500 Startups in San Francisco. “Atlantic Canada has a plethora of smart, innovative and growing companies. This conference will help to put a spotlight on Atlantic Canada and expose the amazing startups we have here.”

The keynote speaker for Amplify is Sean Ellis, the founder and CEO of GrowthHackers.com, which allows members to test growth experiments within their own teams. Among the speakers attending this event are Ethan Smith, the vice-president of growth at Yummly; Netta Kivilix, the CXO at Blue Seedling and a former senior marketer at Amazon; Todd Saunders, the co-founder and CEO at Adhawk and former growth team member at Google; and Dominic Coryell, the founder of Gimme Growth and former 500 Startups Distro Partner. More speakers will be added to the lineup in the coming days and weeks.

“This is a prime opportunity for startups and businesses to get the expert advice and insight they need to properly scale their businesses for rapid growth,” said Trevor MacAusland, an entrepreneur in residence at Propel ICT and an organizer of the event. “The conference is built to help marketers and founders connect with the best mentors and address their challenges so they can get out there and get real traction to happen the very next day.”

Early bird pricing for 20 percent off tickets is in effect until February 17 with the promo code AMPLIFY20. Tickets and more information about Amplify can be found here.
