Yaletown Venture Partners raising $135 million fund for emerging growth companies

Yaletown Venture Partners, a Vancouver-based venture capital firm, is launching a $135 million fund specifically targeting emerging growth companies.

Companies in Yaletown‘s portfolio include Phemi Health Systems, which closed a $12.2 million round last year, Foodee, which is focusing on its US expansion following a $6 million series A.

Yaletown has said that the typical companies that it invests in had annual product sales of $2-5 million and look to scale their go-to-market programs; currently, the team is looking for strong institutional and private investor support and expects to begin making initial investments from the fund later in 2016.

The firm, which has offices in Vancouver, Calgary and Seattle. The company invests in emerging-growth sustainability innovation and intelligent enterprise technology companies in Canada.
