According to CanadianPrivateEquity.com, Waterloo’s Desire2Learn, creators of an integrated learning platform for schools, has opened a new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The company also opened its Newfoundland and Labrador office in St. John’s yesterday.
Now it looks like the Desire2Learn is targeting Latin America with the new location. It will have specialized personnel dedicated to sales, services, technical support and administration and the company is planning to expand local technical support and partners in Brazil to support the implementation of its “revolutionary technical solutions”.
“Desire2Learn’s vision and technology has clearly resonated in the Latin American market and we have significantly grown our presence in the region over the last twelve months. Today our team consists of ten staff members and we anticipate aggressive expansion in 2014,” said CEO John Baker. “With an established presence in San Paulo, we’ll be able to better support local customers and provide them with higher-quality learning solutions.”
