Watch Miovision and Lighthouse Labs pitch on #TheDisruptors

The Disruptors

As a show about disruption, BNN’s The Disruptors wouldn’t be worth its salt without presenting the Canadian startups taking big swings across our fair nation. Enter The Pitch, where young companies get a few minutes of screen time to prove that they’re disruptors in their respective space. This week saw two companies pitch on The Disruptors: Miovision and Lighthouse Labs.

Miovision

Kitchener-based Miovision Technologies provides cloud-based traffic management for smart cities to improve traffic flow. An Accelerator Centre alumnus, with a founding team of University of Waterloo engineers, Miovision recently raised a $30 million Series B.

Lighthouse Labs

Vancouver-based Lighthouse Labs offers developer bootcamps that teach coding skills via 8-week programs. Lighthouse Labs promotes a 100% job placement rate for its graduates, and recently opened programs in Toronto, Calgary, and Whitehorse.
