Video: Busbud’s LP Maurice Tells Us What it’s Like Having $9 Million in Funding

At International Startup Festival in Montreal, we caught up with Busbud founder LP Maurice, who leads the startup that recently raised $9 million in funding.

Busbud is a Montreal-based startup that created a platform for people to search, compare and book bus tickets all over the world. Maurice said the team has grown to over 30 employees (and is still actively hiring), while the platform is “leveraging the ground networks of more than 1,500 bus companies around the world.”

We asked the founder what its like having the responsibility of $9 million, when exactly he knew the business needed the additional capital, and how he’s helping build the Montreal startup community. Long known for hosting and promoting events in Montreal, Maurice has much more up his sleeve than just his business.

Check out the video and hear about why he might be the busiest man in Montreal.
