After dipping our toes in the live podcast format for last year’s SAAS NORTH, the BetaKit Podcast crew packed up our gear a few weeks back and grabbed a spot on the Startup Train for Startupfest.

Recorded on Startupfest’s main stage, this live edition of the BetaKit Podcast features a slightly different format, with Rob and I honouring our inner Conan O’Brien’s with a talk show approach: no less than three special guests appearing one-by-one until chaos ensues and the White Stripes perform before the credits roll (not included on this recording: the White Stripes).
Given our onstage guests—Dr. Theresa Johnson (Airbnb), Harper Reed (General Galactic Corporation), and Neha Khera (2048 Ventures)—you might expect a bit of chaos, and the resulting conversation was wide-ranging. Shooting particles at satellites (for science!), founder-market fit, working for Barack Obama, when to quit, shutting down your company, angel and early-stage investing, and building jetpacks for dogs (for science!) were all on the table, fuelled partially by questions submitted live by the Startupfest audience.
