Traction on Demand, the Vancouver-based cloud technology company, yesterday announced the speaker lineup for its TractionForce 2019 conference.

The event, noted as Western Canada’s largest cloud technology and business transformation conference, will be featuring Lyft managing director for Canada, Aaron Zifkin. Zifkin will be joining on stage, Alex Honnold, the renowned rock climber and lead in the Oscar-winning documentary, Free Solo.

This will mark the seventh year of TractionForce, which looks to bring together individuals and companies to inspire them “to effectively leverage technology to do more, with less.” This year’s focus, according to a spokesperson for the event, is rallying world leaders around “purpose.”

“We’re as dedicated now to educating attendees on the importance of making purpose-driven investments in people and technology as we were seven years ago when the conference first launched,” said Greg Malpass, founder and CEO at Traction on Demand. “We’re really proud of this year’s speaker lineup. Our goal is to continue attracting world-class talent to the stage while keeping the ticket cost at a price point that’s accessible.”

Other than keynotes, the one day event also offers educational, tech-focused sessions, networking opportunities, and talks from a number of industry leaders. In addition to the two above mentioned keynote speakers, TractionForce will also include VP of operations enablement for Telus Business Solutions, Chris Terris, as well as representatives from Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, CerebralSelling.com, and Salesforce.

The conference is put on by Traction on Demand and title sponsor Salesforce. The Vancouver-based company is North America’s largest independent Salesforce application development partner. It develops cloud technology solutions for a number of companies including the LA Dodgers, Telus, Bombardier, and Blackberry.

Over the past few years, Traction on Demand has been named on a number of lists, including Great Place To Work’s 2017 list of Canada’s Best Workplaces in Technology. That same year it was also named one of Canada’s best managed companies by Deloitte.
