KPMG and H2 Ventures are accepting nominations for the 2018 KPMG FinTech100, which recognizes global FinTech leaders.

FinTech100 recognizes 50 ‘established’ FinTech companies and 50 ’emerging’ startups. Established companies are ranked based on their total capital raised, the rate of capital raising, and location and degree of industry disruption. A panel of judges also rates the FinTechs based on their products, services, customer experiences, and business model innovation.

The emerging stars category will consist of FinTechs that have not yet been discovered. The final listed is curated by a judging panel consisting of professionals from KPMG’s Global FinTech practice, H2 Ventures, and KPMG’s FinTech match-making platform, Matchi.

“Canada increasingly punches above its weight in the FinTech space as a wave of digital disruption is reshaping the financial services sector globally,” said John Armstrong, national industry leader for financial services at KPMG in Canada. “More than 300 FinTech firms operate in Canada today, with that number expected to grow in the coming years. We look forward to seeing a good representation of emerging and established Canadian firms in the 2018 FinTech100.”

The FinTech100 will be announced in Sydney, Australia in October during Sibos 2018, an event where the FinTech100 companies will be showcased and awarded. Past recipients of the FinTech100 include Wealthsimple, League, Wave, and Sensibill.

KPMG is accepting nominations until August 3.
