Joe Fresh Centre accepting applications for fashion-focused accelerator

The Joe Fresh Centre for Fashion Innovation is accepting applications for the fifth cohort of its fashion-focused acceleration program.

The centre is looking for applications from emerging Canadian entrepreneurs who have fashion-inspired businesses. Selected entrepreneurs will take part in an 18-month acceleration program, which will provide companies with startup funding of up to $50,000 by the end of the program; mentorship from Joe Fresh executives, Ryerson academics, and industry advisors; and networking opportunities with Ryerson Futures, DMZ, and Fashion Zone companies.

In addition to mentorship and funding, participants will have the chance to showcase their businesses, access office space in The Joe Fresh Centre, receive eligible marketing and promotion expenses up to $5,000 per innovator, and receive an academic zone learning credit from Ryerson University at the end of the program.

The Joe Fresh Centre for Fashion Innovation’s program is open to all Canadian individuals and businesses, except Quebec. Interested applicants must submit a personal and professional reference, complete an online application, and submit a two-minute video.

The program runs from October 2 to March 20. Interested entrepreneurs have until July 27 to apply.
