How SAAS NORTH plans to lead Canadian tech events back to IRL

For the BetaKit Podcast’s Black Swan series, we talked to a lot of Canadian tech events that had to either shutter or pivot during COVID-19.

“It was a day-by-day gut-check. You close your eyes and jump onto the concrete head first.”
– David Tyldesley

For some reason, we didn’t talk to SAAS NORTH.

While other major tech events have remained digital – or in the case of Startupfest, just punted their event to next year – SAAS NORTH is returning this year IRL.

Today we talk to David Tyldesley, co-founder of Cube Business Media, which runs SAAS NORTH, about why his team wanted to get back to physical. We also discuss how Cube is approaching making SAAS NORTH not only safe and comfortable for attendees, but that the vibe is good.

Candidly, I also speak with David about how we’re working with Cube for SAAS NORTH, and why the main stage at SAAS NORTH will be called the BetaKit Keynote Stage.

Let’s dig in.
