Eden, parent company of the on-demand and subscription-based snow removal and lawn care maintenance app, wrapped up its Eden U program, a program designed to help contracting small businesses navigate the process of growth.
Held in Toronto, Eden U was conducted in partnership with equipment manufacturer Stihl Canada and Intuit Quickbooks. Fifty companies participation in the two-day event held at The Royal Canadian Legion.
“This is an innovative method of bringing contractors together, connected through Eden, to share industry best practices. Owners leverage technology to drive profits and create incredibly positive environments for their team members,” said Ben Zlotnick, founder and CEO of Eden.
The program was led by Scott Bryk, past president of Grounds Guys Canada and current COO of Eden. The topics the cohort focused on covered recruiting, best social media practices, and a workshop from Stihl on new products.
“We’re creating association…and building a family of business owners who are using technology to innovate their companies. It’s a perfect opportunity to promote a company’s culture to focus on people,” said Bryk. “We show business owners how to cultivate a culture where people care for one another.”
