Bounteous, a Chicago-based digital solutions company formerly known as HS2 Solutions, has acquired Toronto-based ecommerce agency Demac Media.
Bounteous builds ecommerce platforms for companies, helping them develop strategy, design, engineering, analytics, and marketing. Demac Media will now become Bounteous Canada, leveraging strategic partnerships with companies like Adobe/Magento, Shopify, and Workarea. With the acquisition, Bounteous now employs close to 400 experts across offices in Chicago, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Denver, Berlin, and Toronto.
Demac Media has had clients like Umbra, Herschel, and Bench in the past.
“Bounteous Canada is dedicated to being the best customer experience, ecommerce, and strategic partner for clients across North America,” said Mike Brown, who is joining Bounteous Canada as its new president with the acquisition. Brown is the former chief growth Ooficer for ICF Olson and president of its Canadian subsidiary, where he built the mobile techno startup into a top digital agenciy. He guided it through two successive acquisitions.
“By aligning with the strength of Bounteous, we’re able to both expand the reach of our eCommerce leadership into the US, and also strengthen the complementary capabilities that can deliver results for our Canadian partners,” Brown said.
“The best digital brand experiences are created when we activate the abundance of data and insights across all the digital touchpoints that permeate our lives,” said Phil Hollyer, Bounteous co-founder and CEO. “Everything we do is designed to optimize that flow, so we can create big-picture digital solutions that drive results for our clients.”
