Cannabis software company Ample Organics acquires Last Call Analytics

Toronto-based Ample Organics Inc., a seed-to-sale software company recently announced its acquisition of sales data analytics and visualization platform Last Call Analytics.

Last Call Analytics specializes in generating data-driven insights geared towards increasing sales, identifying trends, and improving company performance. Also based in Toronto, it works with various beverage alcohol companies in the U.S. and Canada—including Breakthru Beverages, Brown Forman, and PMA.

John Prentice, president and CEO of Ample Organics, said Last Call Analytics has provided in-depth analytics relating to retail and supply chain data and he looks forward to bringing its “established tools” to Ample Organics’ customers.

“The move is a natural fit for us as the beverage alcohol and cannabis markets offer such close adjacencies.”

“As the cannabis industry continues to evolve in Canada, having access to these insights will be critical for any company’s success in the emerging retail distribution model,” he said.

Ample Organics’ seed-to-sale software helps companies in the cannabis industry, in growing and production, client management, sales, and quality assurance. In 2017, it partnered with Braingrid to bring Braingrid’s research on helping cannabis producers measure growth to its customers.

“The move is a natural fit for us as the beverage alcohol and cannabis markets offer such close adjacencies in terms of route to market, category analysis, and sales and production planning,” Matt Bannister, chief success officer of Last Call Analytics said. “As part of the Ample Organics ecosystem we will be able to continue our aggressive growth trajectory in beverage alcohol and leverage opportunities for collaboration as we expand within both industries.”
