Canadian Innovation Exchange releases its list of Canada’s top 20 companies

The Canadian Innovation Exchange, which celebrates Canadian innovation and startups with an annual event, released its list of top 20 up-and-coming Canadian companies.

The organization said that it received “hundreds” of applications, and eligible companies had to have a functioning prototype of their product or business, and a “unique innovative digitally-based business idea that brings commercial or social value”.

The list includes Medella Health, which was recently recognized with a James Dyson Award, Finn.ai, which partnered with ATB Financial following the company’s shutdown of its P2P platform, and LEAGUE, which raised a $25 million Series A earlier this summer.
