MaRS’ FinTech cluster launch this week featured many notable participants in the Canadian financial technology community, including Information Venture Partners, a Toronto-based VC firm focused on the vertical. During the event, IVP General Partner David Unsworth, said that “we have all the ingredients to make Canada, and Toronto in particular, the next globally recognized FinTech hub.”
This week, IVP also released an infographic articulating Canada’s emerging FinTech ecosystem. The infographic provides a basic overview of Canada’s largest financial services sectors, as well as a detailed list of Canada’s growing number of FinTech startups (see below).
