Box hires country VP for Canada

canada

Former Salesforce VP Adam Drew has joined Box as country VP of Canada.

Before Box, Drew ran enterprise sales for central Canada for Salesforce, and in the past he’s held leadership roles at Oracle and Computer Associates Inc.

Drew will be based in Salesforce’s Toronto office, focusing on building the Canadian business with an emphasis on large enterprise and government.

“Canadian enterprises across all sectors are looking for ways to become digital businesses, and cloud content management sits at the very heart of this transformation,” said Drew. “Box’s robust enterprise-grade capabilities, combined with its new artificial intelligence and Machine Learning offerings, make it an incredibly attractive solution for Canadian companies looking to become truly digital. I couldn’t be happier to join at this exciting time.”

The news comes as several multinationals are expanding their footprint in Canada from Toronto. Recently, Accenture announced it would hire 800 Canadian tech workers and open a new office in Toronto, while companies like Instacart, Microsoft, and Uber are investing in the region.
