#BKchats: Let’s talk about startups and mental health

Startup Team Working

72% of entrepreneurs report being affected by mental health conditions, and a third of them claim to be affected by two or more issues. Those are the numbers published in a recent BetaKit op-ed on mental health by IPFS founder Chris Gory, explaining why entrepreneurs need to make mental health a priority.

This week is the Canadian Mental Health Association’s annual Mental Health Week, and with that we thought we’d extend the conversation into a few different forms. In reaching out for guests for a special edition of the CanCon podcast, we were overwhelmed by the number of entrepreneurs and players in the Canadian startup space eager to share their story – to join in on the conversation. So we decided upon a Twitter chat to open up the conversation to as many voices as possible.

Brought to you by BetaKit and IPFS, this #BKchats will be a little different. While the conversation will feature a group of special guest participants, all are encouraged to show up and share on this subject that affects so many of us (yes, including BetaKit). Come join us!
