Bionym shipping Limited-Edition Nymi Bands to Developers, consumer launch set for “this fall”

Bionym Nymi Wristband

Tronto-based Bionym recently secured $14 million in funding and stated they have received over 10,000 pre-orders for Nymi Band, its wearable that uses your unique heartbeat for authentication that acts as your universal passcode.

The company previously announced a general availability is slated later this fall. A slight bit of news for those desiring an update as Bionym stated that manufacturing has started and Limited-Edition Nymi Bands have been shipped out to developers.

Balaji Gopalan, Director of Platform at Bionym, said, “The Nymi Platform is designed to bring persistent identity to experiences everywhere, with simple but powerful code that enhances applications instead of interfering with the developer’s vision.”
