Toronto-based healthtech firm PointClickCare is continuing its acquisition spree, buying American HealthTech (AHT), a provider of electronic health record (EHR) solutions to the post-acute care market.
AHT was previously a subsidiary of healthcare solutions firm Computer Programs and Systems Inc (CPSI). According to a statement from PointClickCare, CPSI decided to discontinue the development of AHT’s product and divest AHT to PointClickCare. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We’re poised to offer unparalleled support and innovative solutions to AHT customers.”
AHT offers long-term care management software, as well as financial and clinical solutions that connect skilled providers to the healthcare ecosystem. The platform is targeted at nursing organizations and senior living facilities.
According to a LinkedIn post from PointClickCare’s chief product officer B.J. Boyle, AHT’s customers will be migrated to the PointClickCare platform and will have access to PointClickCare’s dataset and the opportunity to join PointClickCare’s connected care network.
In a statement, Dave Wessinger, CEO and founder of PointClickCare, said he is excited to welcome AHT’s team members and customers to the PointClickCare community.
“With PointClickCare’s best-in-class suite of products and our expansive care collaboration network, we’re poised to offer unparalleled support and innovative solutions to AHT customers,” PointClickCare said in a separate LinkedIn post.
