Right now, Bridgit is hiring an iOS developer. We talked to founder Mallorie Brodie about the best parts of working there.
If someone were to come in to work for Bridgit on their first day, what’s the first thing you tell them to get them excited to working there?
Our team is extremely diverse and this is often something that sets us apart from the crowd. New team members are often very excited about the opportunity to work at a tech startup that has assembled a team from all different backgrounds with all sorts of different interests because of the creative and collaborative environment it has created.
What are some company perks that people can expect when working at Bridgit?
They get to work with an awesome team, wear kickass swag and, of course, get all the tools they need to do their job efficiently and happily.
When working as part of the development team, what kind of problems could an iOS developer expect to tackle? What makes the team so dynamic?
Our user base is extremely unique, so we spend a lot of time solving challenging user experience problems. We have a tight feedback loop when it comes to engaging our active customers about their experience, building out new features and then iterating.
In what ways do you help to foster personal and/or professional growth in your team?
We encourage our team members to actively engage in the community which is a two way street: one, connecting with more experienced/established tech veterans to promote learning as quickly as we can, and two, giving back to students or earlier stage companies that are looking for advice or mentorship.
What’s your favourite part about working at Bridgit?
I love how willing our team is to try new things, and openly talk about what’s working and what could be improved to help the company succeed.
