Moncton’s Onboardly Teams Up with Rackspace to Launch $70K #GetStarted Competition

Moncton-based startup Onboardly is joining forces with Rackspace and a UK-based startup called SimpleWeb to offer one deserving startup $70,000 in development, marketing and infrastructure.

The #GetStarted contest is open to startups all around the world. Companies must enter their idea to win before June 30th, all the while influening their fans and followers to vote for their idea.

The creator behind the challenge is Simpleweb, the Bristol-based company that helps early-stage
founders to develop new products and accelerate their startups. SimpleWeb is offering to help build one lucky startup’s MVP by offering their development services, with a value of $30,000.

Meanwhile, their friends in Moncton are Onboardly, a PR and Content Marketing agency with an portfolio of venture funded startups. Onboardly will develop a personalized PR and marketing plan for the winning startup worth $15,000. Also involved is the Rackspace Startup Program, leaders in world-class cloud hosting, which will offer $25,000 in secure cloud-storage and their award-winning Fanatical Support.

The top ten submissions will be selected and submitted to a panel of judges, and the winning startup will be selected and announced in July 2014.

Judges include Christopher Muenchhoff, a tech angel in Berlin, Cindy Gallop, a New York-based entrepreneur with www.IfWeRanTheWorld.com, Srinivas Rao, a San Francisco-based tech author and more.
