FounderFuel announces AI focus as it opens applications for Spring 2017 cohort

FounderFuel Demo Day

The Montreal-based FounderFuel accelerator is now accepting applications for its spring 2017 cohort.

After taking a break in the fall, this spring, FounderFuel noted that it’s especially excited to work with startups leveraging the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning. For its part, Real Ventures, which runs the accelerator, has stressed a focus on AI for its own investment portfolio.

The intensive three-month program, which will run from early April to early July, will provide startups with on-location mentorship to help bring their products and services to the market. At the end of the program, startups will pitch their ideas at FounderFuel’s Demo Day, which is scheduled to coincide with StartupFest.

This spring, two new members will be joining the FounderFuel team: Isaac Souweine, entrepreneur in residence at Real Ventures, will guide teams and work closely with general manager Sylvain Carle; Adelaide Andriot, former office manager at Real Ventures, will be joining as the program manager. Andriot will be supported by Thibaud Marechal, platform manager at Real Ventures.

FounderFuel says recruitment for the accelerator begins immediately and acceptances will be given on a rolling basis. To apply for FounderFuel’s Spring 2017 cohort, click here.
