How do we improve accessibility in both the real and virtual worlds?

As the neverending work from home march continues, we’ve seen our society reconfigure itself physically and virtually to live with the pandemic.

From lousy virtual networking events to tables in restaurants that have become spaced out for health reasons having the side effect of allowing people with wheelchairs to more easily navigate physical spaces.

“When you design for the edges, you get the middle for free.”

We thought we’d revisit this topic with Maayan Ziv, founder of AccessNow and Samuel Proulx, accessibility evangelist of Fable, to see how far we’ve come, if we’ve even moved the needle at all, and what’s needed to make further change.

Oh yeah, since we last checked in on this topic, the metaverse has become a source of funding and attention in tech. So we also put this question to our guests: how do we improve accessibility in both the real and virtual worlds?
