Kirstine Stewart, Twitter vice-president of media, North America, has left the company, a Twitter spokesperson has confirmed to Recode.
Stewart oversaw Twitter’s North American media activities and partnerships in television, sports, gaming, talent, music, fashion, news and government.
In her previous role with the company, she held the position of founding head at Twitter Canada, a role she took up in 2013 after leaving her position as executive vice-president and head of CBC English services.
This departure is one of several recent losses for the company’s media team. Twitter’s former VP of Global Media Katie Stanton left the company in January 2016, and her successor Nathan Hubbard left in May. Joanne Park, Twitter’s head of cable partnerships, and Danny Keens, head of North American sports, both left in June.
Stewart is currently a board member of Canadian sports media company TheScore, a position she announced in early June.
