Kundan Joshi, CEO of Toronto-based TheAppLabb, has received the 2017 Technology Achievement Award from the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce.

The award, announced on June 10 at Chamber’s Annual Gala, recognizes an individual of Indian origin who has displayed achievements in the tech sector, established a high profile in the Canadian and global business community, shown achievements in business process innovation and development, and has made contributions to the community.

“Joshi has been intensely dedicated to exploiting technology innovations to drive value to businesses and refining the human experience.”

As founder and CEO of TheAppLabb, Joshi has played a key role in guiding the creation of over 500 apps for a wide range of clients including Dell, Unilever, and Samsung.

Joshi is the founder of 15 other tech companies including StartupLabb, an accelerator for high-potential tech startups; and InnovationLabb, a research and development lab for emerging tech such as AI, IoT, virtual reality, and block chain.

“During the gala, Joshi appreciatively accepted the technology award on behalf of his family and his team at TheAppLabb,” the company wrote in a statement. “He is a strong believer of the fact that great honours are never individual achievements, instead, they are a proof of being blessed with great people that support and have faith in you. Joshi has been intensely dedicated to exploiting technology innovations to drive value to businesses and refining the human experience.”
