#TechWR is back for the second edition of its meetup bringing Waterloo Region’s startup community to Communitech to connect, exchange ideas, and meet new people.
Like its sister events TechToronto and TechVancouver, #TechWR on August 15 promises unlimited beer and pizza while listening to the stories of entrepreneurs building their companies in the region — and how they got to where they are. The lineup this month includes Calvin Chu from Palette Gear, which won a Gold UX Design Award from IFA Berlin, Kurtis McBride from Miovision, which has announced a series of partnerships to bring its vision of smart cities to life; Jim Robeson from Piinpoint, a past winner of the Velocity Fund Finals and Y Combinator company; and Erin Stephenson from Dozr, a company that took $100,000 in prizes at Communitech’s Demo Day.
