As the new millennium rolled in over 17 years ago, digital technology only grew, giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to start and grow their business and online legacy. By using traditional business development techniques and a future-forward use of the internet, Ashkan Karbasfrooshan grew a digital empire.
“I think the internet allows you to think that you can just sit at your desk and you have this boundary-less opportunity to go out and build a business, that is global in nature. And you can absolutely do that, but you really do need to get out there and meet people.”
WatchMojo has a catalogue of 10,000 videos on pop culture and ‘infotainment’, and is watched 300 million times each month by nearly 50 million consumers. Aside from being the CEO of such a successful YouTube channel, Karbasfrooshan is also a three-time author, notably of “10-Year Overnight Success: An Entrepreneur’s Manifesto.”
In this week’s #StartupPodcast, host Rivers Corbett talks to Karbasfrooshan about starting a top 10 channel on YouTube from Canada and how to remain successful in business with the ever changing digital landscape.
