Sarah Prevette gives startups brainstorming tips on Breakfast Television

Sarah Prevette

BetaKit and Future Design School founder Sarah Prevette was on Breakfast Television Vancouver this week to dole out advice for aspiring entrepreneurs.

Prevette explained that Future Design School, a new initiative to encourage entrepreneurship in high schools around the world, promotes a three-stage process of ideation, validation, and rapid prototyping. “It’s so important when you’re an entrepreneur to have a repeatable process you can follow,” she said.

Prevette also took the time to explain the concept of empathetic design (“not just designing for your customer, but designing with your customer”) before demonstrating a rapid brainstorming exercise the FDS team learned from Google Ventures.
