Leadership training company Raw Signal Group has announced a one-day career lab event, taking place on February 26 in Toronto’s Distillery District.

According to the event website, Work In Progress: A Day to Define and Design Your Own Career will feature discussions on challenges in career progression, negotiation and self-advocacy, and how to make a concrete career plan.

“In 2018 the question we heard more than any other was how to think about career planning,” Raw Signal Group said in an email to BetaKit. “We heard it from individual contributors, from managers, and from C-Suite executives. How do I figure out career pathing for my team? And how do I figure it out for myself?”

Prior to founding Raw Signal Group, Melissa and Johnathan Nightingale were former employees of Mozilla, IBM, Hubba, and Wattpad. The Nightingales are also regular contributors to BetaKit, have also written a best-selling book How Fucked Up Is Your Management? in their ongoing attempt to build better bosses.

“We’re not here to inspirational-quote you. This is real, fired-up take-home advice that gives you everything you need to reimagine what work can be, including the stuff that’s already in your back pocket.”

Individuals interested in registering for the event can do so through Eventbrite, but the Work In Progress website encourages direct outreach for group/company rates.
