PE Hub is reporting that Vancouver-based Mobidia was acquired last week by App Annie, a mobile app intelligence platform based out of San Francisco.
The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed by App Annie, but Mobidia’s team of 30 will remain in Vancouver to form App Annie’s 12th global office.
“Mobidia is a pioneer in the industry — offering global mobile app usage data since 2012 — and by joining App Annie, our clients will benefit from the most comprehensive and granular app usage dataset on the market,” said Bertrand Schmitt, the CEO of App Annie, in a statement.
The union of the two companies will create the largest app usage dataset in the world.
In January, App Annie completed an oversubscribed $55-million Series D round.
