A new report from Indeed has revealed the top companies hiring for AI talent, as well as a growing need for AI talent among employers generally.

To compile the report on the top companies hiring for talent, Indeed looked at all companies hiring AI-related roles (such as algorithm developer and machine learning engineer) in Canada between 2016 to 2018, though the total number of companies and postings surveyed weren’t available.

Indeed data included in Stanford University’s research data also found that the share of jobs requiring AI skills in Canada has grown by 1,069 percent since January 2013 — and at a faster growth rate than the UK and US respectively.

“Advances in artificial intelligence have stoked fears of large-scale job loss, our data shows that AI can help create jobs, too,” said Jodi Kasten, managing director at Indeed Canada. “These jobs are also found in a variety of industries including finance and tech and for a budding and complex technology like AI, there will be continued need for highly-skilled workers to develop and maintain a wide range of AI applications in Canada.”

RBC took the top spot of companies hiring in AI, with IBM and Scotiabank following behind.

The list of the top employers hiring in AI include:
