On August 20, Hackernest is calling all job seekers in Toronto’s tech community for its Toronto Tech Job Fair.
Billing itself as one of Canada’s biggest tech recruiting events, Hackernest wants to evoke the down-to-earth vibe that its events are known for by creating an environment that makes it easy for job seekers to access the companies they want to work at most.
“Our Tech Job Fair is valuable to everyone as it focuses specifically on the tech sector and the tech portions of the non-tech sector. It brings together innovative companies in one place and matches them to people passionate about technology; whether they’re developers, coders, or on the business side of things,” said Bryce Mendonca, government relations coordinator at Hackernest. “We aim to highlight a wide range of companies — big brands, household names, and early and late stage start ups – all showcasing their opportunities in the tech industry.”
Confirmed exhibitors include Kik, Clearpath Robotics, TribalScale, Tulip Retail, Free The Children, and Overbond (which recently closed a $7.5 million seed round).
The event takes place between 1 – 6 p.m., kicking off with event sponsors like Tangerine, TextNow, Capco, Konrad Group, MaRS, and Amazon.
Tickets for attendees are available and still free.
