Canada’s conference-turned-summer camp, Fireside Conference, is back for the third year in a row.

The invite-only, off-the-grid retreat connects people from all walks of life in the Canadian tech startup community, including founders, journalists, and investors. Hosted at Camp Walden in Ontario with no cell-phone service or technology, the conference invites attendees to actually make connections with people you might otherwise pass at a regular conference. At the same time, startups sit in on talks with lessons to take home with them, from finding product-market fit, pitching to media, and company culture.

Confirmed attendees so far include Canadian Ambassador to UNICEF Zahra Al-Harazi; startup acquisition consultant for Google Sarah Katyal; and iMore senior editor Georgia Dow.

In the past, the event has brought together over 250 people, and featured speakers like 500 Canada’s Sanjay Singhal and Wealthsimple’s Mike Katchen.

“Over the past few years, we’ve pushed the limits of what a conference experience can look and feel like,” said Steven Pulver, co-organizer of Fireside. “We want people to learn about business and tech trends just as much as we want them to learn how to build a campfire or get up on one ski in our private lake.”

This year, BetaKit is excited to partner with Fireside to offer discount tickets in the BetaKit cabin, where 16 people can get access to the all-inclusive event for $849 (regular price $949). Get them before they’re gone!
