Engineers needed across Canada

Autodesk, Deloitte, and Pixieset are all looking to hire.

Across Canada, engineers are in high demand. Engineering positions dominated the charts in a recent list of the top 20 jobs in Canada going into 2023. Canada’s best job for 2023 is data engineer with the highest number of available roles. Software engineers are the highest-earning position on the list with engineering managers having the highest number of remote and hybrid flexibility options.

For engineers looking for a new job, companies across Canada are looking to fill positions with fresh talent. A few examples can be found below, with more positions to be found at Jobs.BetaKit.

Autodesk

Autodesk is a design platform used to imagine projects of all types. Engineers, architects, manufacturers, entertainers, and more all use Autodesk to bring their visions to life. Autodesk came out of California in 1982 and went public by 1985. The company currently supports over 100 million users with over 9,000 employees.

Autodesk is looking for a Montréal-based or remote principal software engineer. The company is also taking on a research intern for front-end development and a senior C++ engineer.

Deloitte

Deloitte is a multinational network for professional services such as consulting, audit and assurance, risk advisory, tax, financial advisory, and other related services for business clients. In the past year, Deloitte Canada started a $150 million venture capital fund and acquired a number of companies such as Nubik and Striven.

There are a number of engineering positions open at Deloitte right now, such as DevOps cloud engineer and senior data engineer, as well as other positions such as a workday technology lead.

Pixieset

Pixieset is an online platform for professional photographers to host an online gallery of their content and connect with clients to grow their businesses. Founded in 2013 in Vancouver, B.C., Pixieset now hosts over 700,000 professional photographers and has processed more than five billion photos through its platform.

Many engineering positions are open at Pixieset, such as application development director of engineering, senior engineer for DevOps/Cloud, and full-stack software developer.
