Deloitte Canada has acquired Ouest Business Solutions, a Vancouver-based SAP consulting firm, to fuel the growth of its mid-market SAP consultancy business across Canada.
The company declined to disclose the financial terms of the acquisition. The deal, which will see Ouest’s 28-person team join Deloitte’s consulting practice in Vancouver and Toronto, is the management consulting firm’s fifth acquisition this year.

Through its acquisition of Ouest, Deloitte aims to shore up its SAP mid-market offering and leadership, both in Western Canada and across the country.
“Not only will Ouest allow us to continue to grow our SAP mid-market offering, but it also opens new corridors to expand our services and explore new relationships, specifically in Western Canada,” said Anthony Viel, CEO of Deloitte Canada.
Viel referred to the acquisition of Ouest as “a significant strategic addition” for Deloitte given digital acceleration in the market in light of COVID-19.
Ouest, which was founded in 2006, specializes in providing cost-effective standard and custom SAP business solutions, with a focus on serving utilities, mining companies, and medium-sized businesses in British Columbia (BC) and across Canada.
The Vancouver-based firm, which also has an office in Toronto, has experience with other SAP solutions as well, including finance, supply chain management, human capital management and safety, and more.

“After 15 years of working with and servicing Canadian businesses with operations internationally in SAP solutions, we’re thrilled to be entering a new bright and enticing chapter with Deloitte,” said Tanya Peachey, Ouest’s former CEO and president.
Peachey is joining Deloitte Canada as a consulting partner. As part of the acquisition, former Ouest COO Jeffery Wong is also joining Deloitte as a director.
“Ouest provides Deloitte with access to a highly experienced group of SAP professionals and helps Deloitte with its strategic goal of expanding its presence in the BC region,” a Deloitte spokesperson told BetaKit, adding that “the majority” of Ouest’s 28 employees are joining Deloitte’s Vancouver office.
Deloitte is a multinational professional services network that provides audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory, tax, and related services to business clients.

This year, in addition to Ouest, Deloitte Canada has acquired four other companies, including Clockwork, Dataperformers, Groundswell Group, and TWG.
